Well, we finally did it!  We were FINALLY able to successfully record an episode today.  Boy, it’s been a busy 6 weeks since we last recorded an episode.  And we haven’t quite had the success and reach that we thought we would by this point.  And in fairness we aren’t the most consistent podcasters and we darn sure aren’t the savviest either!
What do you think about us possibly changing our style & content of the podcast?  We are thinking – based upon some feedback from my better half – that maybe we should be more about ourselves and our stories. I mean who wants to hear about our occassional forays about the usual places we go?  So maybe we should talk about being fathers, sons, grandfathers, soldier, airmen, etc.  Stuff that we really know and more to who we are.  What are your thoughts?  Hit us up on the socials

It’s Labor Day weekend and my granddaughters are visiting – and they wanted to sit in on our podcast – what could go wrong?  With The 2 Old Farts?  Actually nothing went wrong.  Since our last episode we went to see Jason Boland & The Stragglers at Floores.  A week later, my wife and I were lucky enough to score 2 VIP table seats to see Robert Earl Keen at Floores!  Thank you Kevin Gonzales!  The Sunday after the Jason Boland concert – my dad and I tried to record another epised and of course “technology” had to rear its ugly head. It’s like we are cursed!  And with so few downloads we might actually be!

With brunch and beer, what could go wrong?  With The 2 Old Farts?  Just about anything can happen and usually does happen.  I went to pick up my dad so we could go to the Longtab Brewery today so we can have a beer, brunch and prepare for todays Podcast. Well, since I wasn’t specific about a when or where – I showed up at his house while he was enroute to Longtab. So you can guess how it went from there.  And of course “technology” had to rear its ugly head today as well.  So lots of big problems today.  We hope you enjoy our episode and our our little podcast!

Last night The 2 Old Farts – while they were Out And About took their wives to dinner and a show.  While at dinner, we had an unexpected visitor. For some reason, I never saw, but my wife, my mom and my dad all saw it!  Me, the one who is always getting on to them about NOT being observant in regards to their surroundings. Ha.  It looks like I need to take my own advice.  So, sit back and enjoy our podcast.  We ARE The 2 Old Farts – Out And About!

Well, it’s The 2 Old Farts – Out And About. Again. Having technology issues. Again. Went to another concert. Again. Went to Gruene Hall. Again.  But that’s what we do!  We go out and have a good time.  Even if it’s in the horrendously hot Texas heat & humidity.  Even if it is massive technology issues. Even if it’s the day before my dad’s colonoscopy. Mom – Dad screwed up our Podcast – again! Yes. It happened. Again. This is what happens when you have 2 Old Farts – attempting to use technology to record AND upload a podcast – without screwing up or killing each other.  1 needs help and the other is incapable of assisting from afar.  That’s why I had to go over to his house during lunch to help him unmute his microphone – ONLY to have him do it again – a mere 3 seconds before launch!  So I pulled out the BIG GUNS and called my mom!
